Now that I've got longer videos covering the entire tornado outbreak from June 11th uploaded, I wanted to share a couple videos focused solely on some of the more significant tornadoes that occurred across Illinois during the wild outbreak sequences of June 2026. The Streator, IL tornado was rated EF-3 and caused significant damage on the south and east side of town along its 12 mile, nearly 30 minute journey.

On June 21st, 2026 a "surprise" outbreak of 40+ tornadoes struck portions of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Kentucky. My brother Wil and I documented 5+ tornadoes across southern Illinois, near the towns of Louisville, Newton, Fairfield, and Albion. What an incredible spring it's been in the Midwest and my home state of Illinois!

On June 17th, 2026 an intense late-season storm system spawned an outbreak of severe storms and tornadoes across central and southern Illinois. This was a really long day of observing storms and covering the severe weather event for local media as a morning round of storms producing damaging winds and a few tornadoes left a boundary across the area.
