A rather extensive severe weather event is underway across the Southeastern U.S. today as a potent storm system digs into the region.
Before sunrise on Tuesday morning a large and extremely dangerous tornado was confirmed in the Panama City Beach, Florida vicinity, and some early images have begun to emerge of the tornado coming ashore and the damage left behind.
Thoughts are with folks from the Florida Panhandle into the Carolinas ahead of what could be a very long day.
