FIELD REPORT: Obsessively Thinking About Next Week

The forecast for this weekend into early next week is starting to look a little wild, and I’m pretty excited to write about it. It’s been tough to get caught up on storm content from last week, and look ahead to what’s coming, with a little bit of work travel out to Nebraska and back to speak at an event this week.

After a busy couple of days storm chasing on Thursday and Friday, it was nice to spend the weekend with the family and enjoy the Illini playing in the Final Four. I spent most of Monday preparing my talk for this event, while feverishly editing my VLOG from last Thursday. Today and yesterday have mostly been spent behind the wheel, and presenting to a great group in Kearney, Nebraska this morning.

I am actually just trying something out with this blog post, messing around with the Wix mobile app to see how easy it might be to rattle off quick posts from the field.

I’m trying to take ownership of my stuff a little bit more, whether it’s my forecast, storm chasing plans, or weather media, and it seems kind of obvious to use this hub a little more frequently when I’m out and about.

That being said, when I say that I travel for work, please only think of me like this, eating Pizza Hut Express out of the back of my Subaru Forester. More words about a potential multi day, severe weather sequence to come.
